Welcome to the Sea Scout Ship Propeller
The Sea Scout Ship Propeller is a youth maritime
training program, and part of the Boy Scouts of America's Venturing/Sea Scout
program. We are located in Seattle,
Washington and our crew is open to all youth ages 14 - 21.
We center
our program around our vessel, the S.S.S. Propeller, a 65' ex-Army
T-Boat. We are a very active ship, cruising and training on "the
Prop" year-round and also participating in area Sea Scout events.
Our crew learns all aspects of running the Propeller, from deck work
and engineering to navigation and galley detail and everything in
between. Many of our members pursue careers in the maritime
industry after graduating from our ship.
